The story
The brief
Harbor Gallery was opening a season of work about the coast, sound and distance. They asked for an identity that could live on a wall, a screen and a ticket, and still feel like one show.
The approach
We treated static as a material. Every poster, wayfinding sign and projection starts from the same field of grain, which drifts slowly and resolves into type when you stop to look. Close up it is noise; from across the room it is a word.
The motion layer runs on three projectors and a single piece of code, so the gallery staff can change the headline without calling anyone.
The result
Attendance beat the previous season by twenty-two percent, and the opening-night projections became the most photographed object in the building.
